Justice
For the past year I have made du'aa to Allah (swt) to increase my influence upon others. It has happened...more than I thought. As the days pass I realize more and more how this influence is an emmense trust......the decision remains with me. "Will you do this influence justice?" A true leader serves the people he leads. A just leader is that while fearing Allah.
How many rights of your followers have you fulfilled?
How many have you been just to?

There is a hadith that says:
"The Prophet salAllahu alayhi wa sallam said: There are seven whom Allaah will shade in His Shade on the Day when there is no shade except His Shade: a just ruler..." (Bukhari)
Justice in Islam means to give each the right he deserves, Muslim or non-Muslim, relative or stranger, friend or enemy. Allah ta'ala says: "...And do not let hatred cause you to act unjustly, that is nearer to piety" (Surah al-Maeda ayah 8)
On the Day of Judgement, Allah ta'ala won't ask if your rights were fulfilled, rather He will ask if YOU fulfilled the right of others.

The application for scholarships for 2006-7 is now available. The application is divided into two parts. The deadline for sending the first part is April 19, 2006. The deadline for the second part is May 31, 2006. Award winners from 2004-5 and 2005-6 can apply for renewals in 2006-7. The 2006-7 Renewal Application must be submitted by May 31, 2006.
