Snowball

It's amazing how one good action can lead to another. Thus the benefit of doing good actions is new good oppurtunities.

I was preparing my first lesson plan for my little sisters to teach them tajweed. I thought of a creative way to teach them. I'm going to make posters for each tajweed rule that they can put up on their wall after they have learned them.

The posters were made in Adobe Illustrator and will inshaAllah be printed on size 11x17 paper. These are the posters I made today:

As I was making this I had a GEM. There is no good tajweed website out there. Imagine a website were people can not only learn the rules, but have a true visual reference to it. Talk abotu "reward strategy" :-)

I think he meant that the site was available and free for somebody to take and make a website. Not that it actually existed yet.

The Qur'ans with the tajweed rules in them are really good..they're color coded and they help the kids a lot mashaAllah.

its difficult to find a mushaf with the uthmani script that is color coded.

You know of a website that has that particular type of mushaf?

I thought that it would be easy to find them, Allahu 'alam. But they can be ordered online, this is the one i'm talking about: http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/talkislam_1908_891998636

and it's Uthmani script.

The Juz Amma one is like $4, the full Qur'an is around $25. http://onlineislamicstore.com/b8960.html
http://store.talkislam.com/b7735.html

I'm not sure if a site has the whole Qur'an with the rules, but here are some good aids for learning/teaching:

http://easyquran.com/en/lukman.html

http://quran.al-islam.com/Ahkam/Tree.asp?ID=1&t=TreeSub&l=Eng&RecNo=2&Parnt=1

Lastly, I suggest that you go to a Qur'an teacher and ask them their method of teaching tajweed and the materials they use for teaching inshaAllah...and if a recitor will be used, Al-Hodaify and Husari are the best for tajweed. wa Allahu 'alam.
